Rodgers throws three TDs as Steelers edge Bengals 30-27 on late field goal

Aaron Rodgers threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns to outduel Joe Burrow as the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 on Sunday. The victory improved Pittsburgh to 2-1 while dropping Cincinnati to the same record.

Rodgers connected on a 38-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson and a 47-yard catch-and-run to tight end Darnell Washington that set up Chris Boswell's go-ahead 33-yard field goal with 2:18 remaining. Jaylen Warren totaled 176 yards from scrimmage, including 127 rushing, though an 87-yard touchdown run was nullified by a holding penalty.

Cincinnati's revamped defense, which had allowed just one touchdown in the first two weeks, surrendered 411 total yards and three scores. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence recorded both of the Bengals' sacks but acknowledged the unit failed to execute.

With Cincinnati driving for a potential tying score in the final minute, Burrow fumbled while trying to avoid a sack after pressure from Derrick Harmon. Sebastian Joseph-Day recovered the loose ball to seal the Steelers' win and deny the Bengals their first 3-0 start since 2015.

Pittsburgh's offense, which had managed only one touchdown through the first eight quarters of the season, found rhythm behind a reshuffled offensive line featuring rookie right tackle Max Iheanachor.
