SVT is Sweden's public television broadcaster, and its news service ranks consistently among the most trusted sources of information in the country. It carries no advertising and its editorial independence is set out in law. Its regional centres cover the whole of Sweden including the sparsely populated north, and SVT also broadcasts in Sámi.
