Federal Police messages reveal close ties between Senate President Alcolumbre and jailed banker Vorcaro

Messages extracted from the phone of Daniel Vorcaro, former controller of Banco Master, show a personal and political relationship with Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP) that goes beyond institutional contacts. The dialogues, reported by Veja magazine, include declarations of friendship and coordination during sensitive moments for the bank.

On February 1, 2025, the day Alcolumbre was re-elected Senate president, Vorcaro congratulated him. Alcolumbre replied: "Speak, my love! Thank you for everything, especially your affection and fraternal friendship! Gratitude!" He added: "I'm your brother!!! For life!!" Vorcaro responded with five hearts and pledged loyalty "at any time for anything."

The exchanges span from October 2023 to early 2025. In a WhatsApp group named "Macallan," which included former Communications Minister Fábio Faria, participants joked about Alcolumbre's behavior at private events in London and Brazil. One message described the senator with a "vodka straw" at a party where guests were instructed to wear all black.

Vorcaro is currently jailed as part of Operation Compliance Zero, which uncovered an alleged billion-real financial fraud scheme at Banco Master. In July 2025, as Vorcaro negotiated a plea bargain, he messaged Alcolumbre asking for news of a "friend." The senator replied: "I'm on top!!! Pressure!!!

In January 2025, Vorcaro told Alcolumbre about a reporter, Bruna Lima, saying: "Tomorrow we'll find out where the shot came from." Alcolumbre sent attachments in response. Months later, Alcolumbre reportedly denied to colleagues having a close relationship with the banker.
