Fenerbahçe parted ways with head coach Ismail Kartal after a 2-1 loss to Galatasaray in the Trendyol Super Lig, according to Mardin Life. The club announced Kartal's resignation following the defeat, which left Fenerbahçe in fifth place and six points behind the leader.

Fenerbahçe will host Goztepe at Chobani Stadium on Saturday, October 31. Dirk Kuyt is expected to take charge of the team for that match while the search for a permanent coach continues.
