Florida Upsets No. 4 Ole Miss 52-28 Behind Baugh's Three TDs

No. 21 Florida dominated fourth-ranked Ole Miss 52-28 at The Swamp on Saturday, securing the program's first 4-0 start since 2019. The Gators led wire-to-wire as 3.5-point favorites, tying a school record for points against a top-five opponent.

Running back Jadan Baugh rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns, becoming only the third Gator ever with five straight 100-yard games alongside Emmitt Smith and Fred Taylor. Duke Clark added 126 yards and a score as Florida totaled roughly 300 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

“That was an old-fashioned butt whooping.”

Ole Miss entered off an emotional win over LSU but managed just 60 rushing yards and trailed 10-0 before quarterback Trinidad Chambliss attempted a pass. Rebels coach Pete Golding called the result an "old-fashioned butt whooping."

Florida's defense forced a turnover on downs on Ole Miss's opening drive and held Chambliss under 100 passing yards in the first half. The Gators won the turnover battle and limited the Rebels to 4-of-11 on third down.

Coach Jon Sumrall, in his first signature win, said the program is "stirred up" but not fully awake yet. He became the first SEC coach to score 200-plus points in his first four games.
