Fuel prices set to rise in Gaziantep as Kocaeli stations post new rates

Fuel prices in Gaziantep are expected to rise twice in the coming days, with the first increase anticipated overnight from October 28 to October 29, 2026. Market expectations reported by economy journalist Cahit Saraçoğlu indicate that gasoline prices could rise by about 3.50 Turkish lira per liter.

If the increase takes effect, the price of gasoline in Gaziantep would climb from 78.20 lira to 81.70 lira per liter. However, officials note that the rise has not yet been finalized and final prices will become clear after distribution companies apply their tariffs.

“Filling a 50-liter gasoline tank would cost 382.50 lira more after the expected increases.”

A second increase is expected on November 1, 2026, when a special consumption tax adjustment comes into force. This adjustment is projected to add about 4.15 lira per liter to gasoline and 3.60 lira per liter to diesel.

Together, the two increases could raise gasoline prices by a total of 7.65 lira per liter, pushing the price to 85.85 lira. Diesel prices are expected to exceed 100 lira, reaching 102.40 lira per liter.

Current prices in Gaziantep stand at 78.20 lira for gasoline, 98.80 lira for diesel, and 41.41 lira for autogas. Filling a 50-liter gasoline tank currently costs 3,910 lira, but after the expected increases it would cost 4,292.50 lira, an added burden of 382.50 lira.

Meanwhile, Kocaeli stations posted new prices on Friday, October 30, 2026. Unleaded gasoline ranged from 76.77 to 76.78 lira per liter across districts, while diesel sold between 97.17 and 97.18 lira per liter.
