CNN Brasil launched in 2020 under a brand partnership with CNN, with content and editorial management belonging to its Brazilian owner. It entered the country's rolling news market late but with substantial investment, establishing production centres in São Paulo and Brasília.

Its agenda covers domestic politics, the economy and international news, with particular weight on political reporting from Brasília. The international brand partnership widens its access to foreign news flow.
