DR is Denmark's public broadcaster, founded in 1925 with radio. It carries no advertising. Its news service is among the broadcasts reaching the widest audience in the country, and its regional centres cover the whole of Denmark. An early mover in the digital transition of public broadcasting, DR now draws a substantial part of its audience through its own platform.
