RTP is Portugal's public broadcaster. Alongside its domestic channels it runs international services for Portuguese speakers worldwide; RTP África broadcasts to the Portuguese-speaking countries of Africa. That structure makes the corporation the principal news infrastructure across Portugal's linguistic geography.
