Betapharm Recalls Two Batches of Pantoprazol Stomach Acid Blockers

Pharmaceutical manufacturer Betapharm has recalled two batches of the stomach acid blocker Pantoprazol. The recall was prompted by a release error and an issue where the medication does not release the active ingredient as intended.

The affected products are Pantoprazol beta 40 mg gastro-resistant tablets in 30-piece packs with batch number CV250342 and 100-piece packs with batch number CV250344. No other products or batches are affected by this recall.

Pharmacies have blocked existing stock and are required to return the affected packages via wholesale channels. This is not a patient-level recall, meaning patients are advised not to discontinue their treatment independently.
