Boca Juniors and River Plate Meet in Buenos Aires Superclásico

Boca Juniors and River Plate will meet on Sunday, November 1, at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires for the 15th round of the Torneo Clausura 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time. The match will be broadcast in Argentina on ESPN Premium and TNT Sports Premium, with streaming available on Disney+ Premium and MAX.

Boca enters the match after a 1-0 win over Independiente in Avellaneda. The team, led by Rodolfo Arruabarrena, holds 27 points in its group and shares the annual table lead with Argentinos Juniors at 57 points. Boca is also pursuing qualification for the 2027 Copa Libertadores and will play in the Copa Sudamericana final.

“The points at stake will be vital both in the domestic title race and in the qualifying table for the 2027 continental tournaments.”

River arrives as the visiting side following a 1-0 home victory against Racing at the Monumental. Under Leonardo Ponzio, River has 52 points in the annual standings and 23 points in Zone B of the Clausura. The team remains in direct contention for a spot in the 2027 Copa Libertadores group stage.

This will be the second Superclásico of 2026. Boca won the first meeting 1-0 at the Monumental in April. River now seeks revenge in front of its own supporters during the penultimate round of the Clausura classification phase.

Nicolás Ramírez has been appointed as the referee for the match. Viewers across the rest of South America can watch the game on ESPN and its Disney+ streaming platform. In the United States, coverage will be available on FOX Deportes, FOX One, ViX, Fanatiz, and fuboTV.

The stakes extend beyond local bragging rights, as points from this match will influence both the domestic title race and the continental qualification table for 2027 tournaments.
