Train traffic heading to and from Henri Coandă International Airport was blocked for four hours after a private train broke down. The incident occurred on Sunday night between the airport terminal and the Patinoar stop.
The train, operated by TransFeroviar Grup, suffered a mechanical failure at 21:55, prompting the railway operator to request an auxiliary engine. However, the rescue vehicle failed to couple with the stalled train due to a technical recognition issue.

According to Gândul, five airport line trains accumulated over 1,000 minutes of delay, and four other railway incidents were reported on Sunday, including a locomotive fire in Buftea.
Railway infrastructure company CFR SA analyzed technical and operational measures to clear the track. Normal traffic was successfully resumed on Monday at 01:50 after the disabled train was finally withdrawn.
