US military forces prepared to intercept a Chinese-flagged ship in the Middle East this spring after an intelligence report alleged it was transporting nuclear weapon components to Iran. According to four sources cited by CNN, armed personnel readied to board the vessel and military aircraft were airborne before the operation was halted.
