RPP Noticias

RPP — Radio Programas del Perú — was founded in 1963 and is the news organisation with the widest reach in Peru. Its origins in radio are decisive given the country's geography: for communities in the Andes and the Amazon basin the primary source of news is radio, not television.

The organisation now runs radio, television and digital publishing together. During earthquakes and natural disasters RPP's national radio network functions in practice as emergency information infrastructure.
