Voice of America

Voice of America was created in 1942 during the Second World War and is funded by the United States government. Its founding purpose was to carry an American perspective against Nazi propaganda, and the organisation continued after the war.

Its structure includes a notable provision: statute establishes a "firewall" intended to prevent government interference in its news content.
