Following the emergency notification, numerous firefighting assets were swiftly dispatched to the scene, according to Sözcü.
The response teams deployed by the Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry and Manisa Metropolitan Municipality battled the flames from the air and land.
Cumhuriyet reported that the Istanbul-Izmir Highway, which was previously closed to traffic in both directions due to the blaze, has been reopened between the Soma and Savaştepe junctions.
