Laver Cup 2026 Opens at The O2 With Alcaraz, Zverev Leading Europe

The ninth Laver Cup begins Friday at The O2 in London, four years after Roger Federer played his final match at the same venue. Carlos Alcaraz and newly crowned US Open champion Alexander Zverev headline Yannick Noah's Team Europe, while Andre Agassi captains the defending champion Team World.

Team Europe includes Alcaraz, Zverev, Flavio Cobolli, Rafael Jodar, Jakub Mensik and Casper Ruud, with Arthur Fery as alternate. Team World features Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and three debutants. Agassi's lineup differs from the originally announced roster.

The tournament runs September 25-27 with a points format that escalates daily: wins count for one point Friday, two Saturday and three Sunday. Twelve matches — nine singles and three doubles — offer 24 total points. Team World won the 2025 edition 15-9 for their third title.
