Istanbul police arrested Gülüstan Kurt, 33, on July 31 during a live social media broadcast at her Esenler home. She was wanted for a total of 64 years and six months in prison across multiple convictions.

Beyoğlu patrol teams located her address and raided while she streamed. Viewers warned "Hürrem's door is knocking, don't open" but she answered the door, allowing police to enter live on camera.

Her phone fell during the arrest; she picked it up and ended the broadcast. Records showed 215 prior offenses, mostly theft, across Istanbul, Bursa, and Izmir courts.

After processing at the police station, a court ordered her pre-trial detention and she was sent to prison.
