PP and Vox Join Madrid March Demanding Elections, Ceuta Action

The second March for Dignity, organized by the civil platform Sociedad Civil Española (SCE), began at 10:00 from Plaza de Cibeles and followed a route through Alcalá, Gran Vía, and Princesa streets to the Arco de la Victoria in Moncloa. Organizers demanded immediate general elections with guarantees against alleged electoral fraud, the prosecution of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez for treason under Article 102 of the Constitution, and urgent measures for Ceuta and Melilla following the mass entry of migrants in late July.

PP Secretary General Miguel Tellado and Senate spokesperson Alicia García attended alongside Vox leader Santiago Abascal. Abascal emphasized solidarity with Ceuta residents and pushed for activating Article 102, while the PP maintained distance from the treason charge, focusing instead on electoral demands and border control.

Attendance figures diverged sharply: the Government Delegation estimated 20,000 participants, while SCE claimed 180,000. The manifesto read at the rally called to "end Pedro Sánchez at the ballot box and send his rotten regime to the dustbin of oblivion."

Before the march, Abascal clashed with former PM José María Aznar, who had contrasted PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo's patriotism with those who "dress up as captains of the Tercios." Abascal retorted that Aznar had once dressed as El Cid Campeador.

A police cordon blocked an attempt by some demonstrators to advance toward the Moncloa Palace at the end of the route. The protest concluded around midday without major incidents reported.
